TOPBOX January Prive box 2014

Well hello my totally underwhelming Topbox of January 2014

Its totally my fault for picking a prive box thinking this brand is super expensive and i want to try their products.

and what i got to try didn't really work for me, or i should say i didn't really enjoy them as much as i thought.

 

So first up I was confused between last months prive boxes specially because they had a "Chinese new year benefit box" i own most of those products so thought why not give SkinCeuticals a chance.

Maybe I need to give the products more time and test them but after using them for two days my skin looked darker and didn't even look smooth and maybe a retexturing serum is supposed to do that but it scared me and i stopped using all the samples.

This is what i got and their prices: ( all samples are probably 5 ml since the samples dont have anything mentioned on them)

Overall price for this box is $82.63 ( wow) since this box costs $13.44 every month.

I will rate this box as 8/10 for the price and value.
The wish list mentioned the sizes of the samples but I forgot if they were 5ml or 3ml so i stuck with 5ml; to avoid the same problem for february month i took snaps of the wishlist:

This bag had me so excited that i immediately started using the products and didn't even bother uploading the pictures.
VS the topbox which had me so underwhelmed that i didn't bother uploading those pictures as well.
Over all January had been a lazy bummy month for me.

First up this Ipsy card is such a blessing, I was waiting for my CFA level 1 result and this card made me put my fear and desire on a piece of paper and make it public. The best part is maybe this helped me pass my level 1, currently enrolled in level 2 and maybe just maybe i may pass level 2 as well. :)))) thank you Ipsy.

 

 

 

Elizabeth Mott SMOOTH SHADOW Creamy Eye Pencil in PENNY
This pencil swatches really well and lasts very long on the hand, but for some reason on my oily eyelid the colour doesn't transfer that well but still over all a great product because i can use it to brighten up my deep set eyes and the colour compliments my skin tone as well.

MICA BEAUTY Cosmetics Tinted Lip balm in #6 Fiesta

This colour is super pigmented and looks so beautiful and natural on lips. Wont replace a good chap stick (i love blistex from Costco). My only issues are its actually drying and I have to touch it to apply it:

A) It gets on my fingers
B) I wont be able to apply it until i have washed my hands and that just sucks.

I do suppose the actual packaging comes with an application brush.

Because it lacks the applicator i will value it at $20

Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner by Sexy Hair
I use moisture shampoo and conditioner so didn't think I needed a leave in conditioner but I ight have to use it to tame my frizzy hair and short bangs when i have to straighten them and they wont sit. But alas i have barely used this to comment on it.

ABSOLUTE! MAKE-UP CLEANSING TISSUES
These are so soft and good at what they are supposd to do, specially after I party hard and dont want to bother with washing my face, these make it so much easy to take off the make-up.

This bag costs me anywhere from $15 a month to $17 ( now thanks to the exchange rate between USD and CAD). Overall value of this bag for me is $35.10 and I would rate it as a 10/10
